Okay, here’s the story: I was in the middle of reading Do
Hard Things by Steve Magness when I found a quite interesting fact (well, I don’t
know if this actually a fact or not, I might need to do some more research
about this later on) that the term ‘pussy’ on “stop being a pussy” is referring
to women (?) All this time, I thought that the word ‘pussy’ was representing to
a cat, the animal. I didn’t know what the correlation between a cat and being a
“loser” was, but I thought that’s just how they say it in English. Like, they’d
replace it with “coward” too sometimes, right? So, I guess they just… love
animals? But then I realized, they sometimes would replace it with ‘chick’ as
well and some people also use the term ‘chick’ to address women. Now I have
another question, why are they calling us ‘chick?’ I mean, I get it now if it’s
‘pussy’ because it’s known as one of the other ways to say female genitalia,
but ‘chick?’
Alright, that’s it. My head feels less heavy now that I
write this down. I still find this discovery interesting, though.
