August was a rollercoaster. She pretty much spent the whole month glued to her screen; finished a K-Drama (Miss Night and Day), watched tons of “Run for Your Life!” kind of movies, and she managed to complete the entire episode of Kaiju No. 8 in just one sitting. She also finished a non-fiction book and get back to exercising regularly which made her feel less guilty about all those screen marathons.

Here’s a rundown of the movies she watched this month:

  1. A Quiet Place: Day One (2024). She gave it a 6/10, fully understood that cats have nine lives.
  2. Two Blue Hearts (2024). She gave it a 7/10, and the movie made her think twice about having kids.
  3. As Above So Below (2014). She gave it a solid 10/10 as a big fan of Found Footage movies.
  4. Longlegs (2024). She gave it a 5/10, a little disappointed because everyone on the internet kept talking about the movie, but it turned out to be far from her expectations.
  5. In The Tall Grass (2019). She gave it a 9/10, the movie is so gripping that it keeps her on the edge of her seat, exactly what she’d expect from a Stephen King movie.
  6. The Mist (2007). She’d give it a hundred if she could/10. Let the rating she gave speak for itself.
  7. The ruins (2008). Same as the previous movie; 100/10, the movie is so good that she couldn’t look away for a second. And quick advice: Don’t join stranger’s trip.
  8. The Silence (2019). She gave it an 8/10, fanatics believers are scarier than immigrations officers.
  9. Knowing (2009). Gave it another 8/10, she doesn’t want to know what’s her future holds, and she doesn’t want to go back to her past either. At first, she believes she’d be part of the group that would try to destroy the time machine if it ever got created. But now that she thinks about those paradox again, she decided to stay unbothered.
  10. Fractured (2019). 9/10. Insane.

Speaking of, she’s still keeping up with Boruto; season 21, episode 169.
