There’s a lot of stuff that makes her anxious. Kids, Pocong, Teke Teke, excessively bright places, logging trucks, Jeeps with a spare tire on the back, reschedules, people, and so many more. Even though as she ages, she noticed that some things are no longer seem as intimidating as they used to, but just like many other things in life; you fixed one problem, and then you’re gonna find five more, a truth she’d first heard from The Haunting of Hill House.

Today she woke up with the same heavy feeling in her chest. The thought of setting goals and dreaming big always brings a cloud of anxiety. It seems like everyone around is pushing her to dream again, to just give it a go again and see what happens. But she found it really terrifying as those “What if I fall (again)?” scenarios have been messing with her head even though deep down, she realizes that she can’t stay in her comfort zone forever.

Looking back on July, she sees progress. She’s still scared, but she’s also stronger. She’s even learned how to communicate her feelings now, and she’s eager to see what other skill she’ll be able to do next month. And here’s a little update on what happened to her this July:

One, she finished all the 500 episodes on Naruto Shippuden. She’d watched every single episode, including all the fillers. And now, she’s starting over again with Boruto, an anime she once followed back when se was in high school until she stopped, because her peers said bad things about it.

Two, she’s still on the fence about learning a new hobby: crocheting, because the last time she said she wanted to learn how to play guitar, it ended up sitting unused and collecting dust in the corner.

And last but not least, she turned 21 this early month.

My lovely 2 y.o niece made this, with her mom

She somehow has a good feeling about August and can’t wait to see how it plays out.
